God's Good Path

Devotions:

        “The steps of a man are established by the LORD, And He delights in his way.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:23‬ ‭NASB‬‬

        God is only good and He has only good things for His people.  God delights in our being blessed.  God has already established the path of His blessings.  In the new covenant He has provided us with His Spirit to show us the path that He has set for us.  In this path He leads us around temptation.  If we think that we can pick our way though the mind field of life by ourselves then we will find out that we will fall in to the traps and the destruction of the enemy.  God has a good plan for our lives but the enemy, the devil, is determined to destroy everything that God has set out to do. The devil wants to destroy our souls and bodies and use us to destroy others in the cruelest way possible.  As we follow God, God protects us.  If we go our own way, God protects us the best He can but we are taking ourselves away from His protection, He cannot violate His word or His character.  To walk in the fullness of God's goodness we must walk by His Spirit by in the path that He has already determined for us.  We have to trust in His goodness and mercy and grace.  Walk by the Spirit and you will not fall into the death traps of the devil.
