Assignment with God

Devotions:

        “For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”  Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭NASB‬‬

        God has a plan for our lives for good and not for evil.  In Psalm 139 David recounts how God knows the intimate detail of our lives.  His design for mankind was to be the ruler of His creation.  The gifts and the callings of God are without repentence, that is God does not take them back.  God has a high calling for you but you must coorporate with God in order to fulfill what God has for you.

        “Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.”

        God wants us to maximize our humanity though Him to fulfill our race that is set before us.  This is God's delight, that we prosper in everything that we put our hand to do and this is God's intention in creation of humans and in salvation.  

        “Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication; And let them say continually, "The LORD be magnified, Who delights in the prosperity of His servant." And my tongue shall declare Your righteousness And Your praise all day long.”

        “Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.”

        Many people are looking for an adrenaline rush all the time.  They are looking for excitement in their lives. The most exciting life to live is to live in pursuit of God's plan for your life.  To live in intimate connection with the Creator of the universe as He leads and guides and empowers you to live the life more exciting and fulfilling than the latest spy movie or adventure movie.  

        Are you living the real life or you just trying to be stimulated in the flesh to go from one fleshly high to the next whether it be drugs, sex, dare devil escapade.  The real life is with God daily on His assignment.
