Believing You Have Received
Devotions:
"And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."
(Luke 17:19 KJV)
"And Jesus said to him, 'Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.'"
(Luke 18:42 NASB)
Everyone who came to Jesus in faith received their healing. He just asked them to believe that they were healed when ministered to them. He is the same today only He is not in a physical location. This is good for us because when we understand faith we do not have to hunt Him up and try to get to see Him to receive our healing or anything else that we would ask in line with His will. The key is what Jesus asked these people to do and that is to believe you receive when you ask. His presence is in us so we always have Him with us. We ask and believe that we receive what we ask for though it may not manifest immediately, we stand believing that we received what we asked for and it will manifest.
It is our faith that receives from God according to His will as revealed in His word or in line with His word. Fatih says, "It is mine, I have it now." We are not waiting to get it, we believe that we have received what we ask for and we continually say the same thing, that we believe that we have received it and we shall have it.
"NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]." (Hebrews 11:1 AMP)
We are not to be led by our senses but by what we believe. We are to believe the word of God, Jesus is the word of God that they believed in the Gospels. The Holy Spirit makes the Word of God alive to us and just as real as when Jesus walked on the earth. Believe that you receive when you ask and you shall receive.
