Devotions:

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Peace, in Hebrew is the word, shalom.  It means wholeness, nothing lacking, nothing broken. This is God's will for you, wholeness.  God does not just want you healed, He wants total restoration. You see this in the prayer that Jesus taught, "...thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."  There is no incompleteness in heaven.

“and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority;”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭NASB‬‬

We must know and believe in our wholeness in Him. No other relationship can make us whole. No substance, no activity, only God can make us whole. That is shalom.

“The LORD said to him, "Peace to you, do not fear; you shall not die." Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD and named it The LORD is Peace. To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.”

‭‭Judges‬ ‭6:23-24‬ ‭NASB‬‬

The Lord called Gideon to deliver Israel and defeat the Midianites. Gideon had all kinds of excuses. He was the least of the least tribe in Israel. But God said that He would make up Gideon's lack and he would defeat Mideon as one man. God told him, "peace to you, I am with you." Gideon built an alter to the Lord and called it, Yahweh Shalom, the Lord our peace. In our inadequacies, God makes up the lack so there is nothing missing and nothing broken.
