Crowned

Devotions:

What type of crown are you wearing? A crown of defeat and failure? A crown of sin and shame? A crown of unworthyness and low self esteem? A crown of a victim spirit, entitlement and self pity? A curse for a crown? You can see your crown many times by what is on your face.  How you see yourself is how you will act.  The crown you see yourself with will determine how you see yourself.

“Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;”  ‭Psalm‬ ‭103:4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The psalmist, David, says that we should see ourselves crowned with loving-kindness and tender mercy.

“What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him? Yet You have made him but a little lower than God [or heavenly beings], and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet: [I Cor. 15:27; Eph. 1:22, 23; Heb. 2:6-8.]”  ‭Psalm‬ ‭8:4-6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Psalm 8 is talking about God's vision for the human race.  This vision was fulfilled in the Lord Jesus.  God sees the new man in Christ Jesus as crowned with glory, His glory, and honor.  God honors us where ever we go.  We should expect honor not as an entitlement.  We look to God for that honor not to people and only because God says that He has given it to us.

You have to read these two verses and meditate on them until we see ourselves with what the Lord says is ours, crowned with loving-kindness, tender mercy, glory and honor.  When you believe it you will walk in it.
