What a Man Can Do!

Devotions:

Jesus is our example in everything.  He walked as a man though He is fully God.

“Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”  ‭Philippians‬ ‭2:6-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus is an equal part of the Godhead, co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit.  The amazing thing is that Jesus emptied Himself of His Godly perogatives and walked totally as a man born of the Spirit and baptized with the Holy Spirit in power.  This is important becasue it shows us that whatever Jesus did, we can do as men and women born of God and filled with the Holy Spirit.  We need to make the correct assessment of ourselves.  Too often we think, I could never do what Jesus did, healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons, restoring the lame and maimed.  But Jesus did these things as the Holy Spirit directed by the anointing of the Holy Spirit and not by His own power and might.  We are born of the same Spirit and we are anointed by the same Spirit only the Holy Spirit who anoints us and fills us has demonstrated His power even further by raising Jesus from the dead. We have the resurrection, overcoming power of the Holy Spirit within us and upon us to do the greater works that Jesus said that we would do, if we beleive, John 14:12.

The key to Jesus' success was in that He humbled Himself anc became obedient to the Father's will.  Our success in God comes only as we walk in humility and obedience.  God's forgiveness is there for us when we miss it and act proudful and disobedient but we will not like the consequences of our actions.  God is not the author of the consequences and if we call on Him in our trouble, He is there to show us how to get out.

Signs, wonders adn miracles are the fruit of our intimate walk with God.  When we place ourselves in the posistion to hear what God says and are committed to do what we hear, we also will see signs, wonders and miracles.  What stops the signs, wonders and miracles?  Our flesh that will not respond to God but our spirit can and will train our flesh to respond to our spirit and then fulfill the ministry God has for each one of us. Walking the road of Humility!
