Do Not Set Satan Steal Your Destiny
October 9, 2015
Devotions:
Satan cannot steal our salvation but he can steal our potential, our calling that the Lord has for us. If we compromise with sin satan will steal the blessings that God has for us. Satan does not want us to be fruitful here on this earth. We must make up our minds that by the grace of God walking in sin is unacceptable.
Even though Samson was anointed to judge Israel, he lost his eye sight and came into cruel bondage because he played around with harlots so the enemy had an inroad into his life. The Philistines were able to discover the secret to his miracluous strength and take it away from him, subdue him and put him into bondage grinding grain at the mill.
“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”
Proverbs 13:20 KJV
Who you runwith will determine your fruitfulness. In the natural if you hang out with people who are not serious about school and like to party then you will not do will. If you hang out with students who are serious and get good grades then you will do better
Spiritually if you associate with people who are non-Christian or who are not living out their Christian live but live in the flesh then you will find yourself also compromising and growing cold towards the things of God.
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV
“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” Romans 8:6-7 KJV
We are of the spirit and are spiritually minded but we can choose to be carnally minded and be defeated, stolen from and destroyed. The only way to defeat the enemy is in the spirit where he is already defeated.
Do not let the enemy steal your destiny.
