The Word Shall Make You Free

Devotions:

How important is the word of God to you.  You may say that it is very important but more than your words how are your actions demonstrating this.  God has communicated with us through His word. Some think that the Bible is a work of man but no God used man to communicate His truth and then purified the communication.

“The words of the LORD are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times.”  ‭Psalms‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭NASB‬‬

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NASB‬‬

“But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”  ‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:20-21‬ ‭NASB‬‬

The word of God is God's idea and God's work. It is a revelation of all the promises and provisions that He is longing to make real in our lives.  Often we get the idea that God is holding out on us but this is the lie that satan sold Adam and Eve.  God is not holding back anything from us but we must be convinced that His word is truth and know what is in it.  As we believe and act on His word, tha word of His overwhelming love for man kind, we are building our house on the rock and the storms that come cannot destroy it because it is built on the eternal word of God, the God who cannot lie.

“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."”

‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭NASB‬‬

This is free from sickness and disease, from depression and oppression. This is free from financial lack, from terror, free from fear.  This is free from low self image and self esteem.  This is free from all the works of darkness, turmoil, doubt, saddness, unforgiveness.  God wants you free but it is only through His word.  Meditate
