Weapons of Our Warfare; The Blood of Jesus
November 3, 2015
Devotions:
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
Leviticus 17:11 KJV
“[All] are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus, Whom God put forward [before the eyes of all] as a mercy seat and propitiation by His blood [the cleansing and life-giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation, to be received] through faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over and ignored former sins without punishment. It was to demonstrate and prove at the present time (in the now season) that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has [true] faith in Jesus.” Romans 3:24-26 AMP
One of our weapons of our warfare is the blood of Jesus. Jesus removed all our sins by His blood when He shed it on our behalf as the sacrifice before God on our behalf. Our sins were the hold that satan had over us. By that hold satan could legally bring the curse upon us.
When we plead the blood of Jesus we are saying that we have been redeemed and the total price has been paid and there is no more standing debt between us and the Father. We stand justified before the Father not by our works but exclusively by the obedience of Jesus. It is the blood of Jesus that is our victory. The blood of Jesus never changes. It declares that we are in the posistion to be blessed by God in every aspect of our life. As we vigorously stand against the onslaught of the enemy we must stand on the word of God that says that we are the beloved sons of God in line to receive God's favor and not judgement and the curse.
“And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].” Revelation 12:11 AMP
The blood of Jesus pronounces us clean and accepted before God!
