Our Inheritance

Devotions:

        The third way to gain a name is through inheritance.  The royality of Judah in the Old Testament passed their kingdoms on to their heirs.  The royalty in Europe and Russia would pass their kingdoms on to their sons or daughters if there were no sons. 

        “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”  ‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        Because Jesus is the son of God, He inherited all things from the Father.  Because we are also born of God through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus we are heirs of all things also, not the devil. 

        “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”  ‭Romans‬ ‭8:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        Because Jesus is heir of all things and we are co-heirs we are the ones in authority.  By the name of Jesus we have authority over all the works of the devil in our life.  In Christ we are seated with Chirst in the heavenlies.  When we pray or speak and release our authority we are speaking in the authority of Jesus.  Every entity must bow its knee to the name of Jesus. 

        “And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son. [Exod. 3:14.] [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM].”

        Jesus said whatever you ask...the word ask can also be translated demand...in My Name...We are not demanding of God or Jesus but of our circumstances.  He goes on to say that in My Name as presenting alll that I AM... He will grant it and do it. 

        As we demand of our circumstances, our aches and pains, of the diseases that attack our bodies, of our financial lack in the Name of Jesus as presenting all that He is, Jesus will do it. 

        Jesus is not just as salutation to a prayer or a word that we use when something goes wrong.  All the power of the universe in vested in that name and we have the authority to freely use that name.
