Almighty God

Devotions:                                       

        Our God is an Awesome God.  There is not God like Him in heaven, on the earth or under the earth.  No God compares with Him.  He is almighty, all powerful and at the same time full of lovingkindness and compassion. He has sworn and bound Himself in and unbreakable agreement with us through our Lord Jesus Christ in a covenant of blessing.  This is our salvation and it is secure and eternal.  No other god has performed for us what is pleasing in His sight on our behalf.  We could not perform in our weakness but God did it for us.  Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith.

Hebrews 12:2 Jesus created in us the faith necessary for receiving what He has done for us and He will also perfect it to the end. 

        “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”. ‭Philippians‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

        Our salvation does not rest upon our work but solely on His work for us and in us.  We do not fast to become more holy but we fast and pray because we are holy and righteous by His work.  This awesome God totally backs up His work of salvation for us so we can say I am secure in my salvation. 

        God is so Holy and Rigtheous that Moses could not look fully upon Him, Exodus 33: 20.  We have received of our Father's goodness, of His righteousness, of His holiness. We have received of His nature.  Our good works proceed out of our salvation.  Our praises are the expression of our victory over sickness, disease, poverty and lack, calamity and destruction, that we have received in Jesus.  It is not by our power nor by our might but by His Spirit.  He is our health, He is our abundance, He is our victory.
