Resurrection Life

Devotions:

        "But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you." (‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭11‬ NASB)

        This is one of the most amazing facts that really is minimized because we do not understand or believe it.  The creator of the universe who overcame all that death and the devil had against us, dewlls in us.  The Holy Spirit is the glory of the Father.

        "Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life." (‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬ NASB)

        The glory of the Father dwells in us. He has a proven track record of overcoming all the negative that was introduced when Adam sinned.  But He does not work automatically.  We have to put Him to work through our faith that He is in us and that He desires to make our body alive against all sickness and disease, against all sin, against any and all the curse and satan tries bring into our lives.  

        We cannot will ourselves well when we are sick.  But the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is in you to make you well.  He works in conjunction with His word because His word in our hearts create the faith to receive His deliverance.  We cannot will ourselves free from sin.  No matter how many times you repent and try harder to not fall into sin, you eventually will.  But the resurrection life of the Holy Spirit inside of you has already overcome all sin and its effects when He raised Jesus from the dead.  Jesus died because of our sins but the Holy Spirit overcame those sins in His resurrection and that is the resurrection life in you.  No wonder Paul calls more that conquerors.  This is not wishful thinking or hoping but an actual fact based on God's resurrection life in you.  This resurrection life defeated all devils and demons, all curses and all the work of the devil.  It does you no good if you do not believe in the power of His resurrection life on that this life is in you and He wants to effect your total deliverance.  

        Meditate on Romans 8:11 until it becomes a reality in your understanding, then you will walk in a new level, in a new realm of God's reality.
