Word Power

Devotions:
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." (Joshua 1:8 KJV)
"For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment." (Luke 1:37 AMP)
What the angel in Luke is telling us is that there is power in the word of God that will make that word come to pass. We see this in Mark 4 where Jesus teaches us that the word of God is a seed. It has the power to produce but it will only be fruitful if it is planted in receptive soil. Our hearts are the soil that can allow the seed to produce. The seed is planted as we hear the word and it becomes established in our hearts as we meditate on that word. The power in the will bring forth understanding as we take time to focus on it. If we do not meditate on the word of God, satan will steal it through persecution and affliction and the word will not produce. We disengage our faith and the seed will stop germinating. If we get distracted by other things the seed will be dormant and not produce. But if you will attend to the word and water it the understanding will come to you so you can act on it and become successful. Discipline yourself to start speaking the word of God even when it contradicts your circumstances. Our faith is released through the words that we speak.
Success comes from doing what God does and saying what God says.
