The Only Way

Devotions:

I have heard it said many times that God loves people so He will not let them go to hell.  God loves everyone but humans have free will to choose which way to go.  God has provided a way of salvation that anyone can receive, it cost them nothing.  But God will not force salvation upon anyone.  People make jokes about hell but hell is no joking matter, it is horrible and it is for eternity.

There is only one way to be saved.  There is salvation in no other name but the name of Jesus.

"And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done." (‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭39, 42‬ KJV)

Jesus asked that if there was any other way to accomplish salvation then He asked to choose the alternative,  There was no other way to save humanity.  If God cannot figure out another way to do it why do we think that we can come up with a another way.

God has fully provided salvation.  The work of Jesus is a finished work and we cannot and do not need to add anything to it.  God did a completed, finished work.  But we cannot circumvent God and be saved.  Salvation is separation of us from the things that destroy us, sin, and separation unto God, to walk in the place of His blessing.  God separates us from sin through His life in us and the consequences of sin by the blood of Jesus.  He also separates us unto Him by these things also, His life in us and the blood of Jesus.

As Christians we do not claim to have an exclusive salvation because we are special and deserve it, we do not, but because it is truth and we walk in the reality of our salvation.  Yes salvation is only through receiving what Jesus did for us on the cross and by His resurrection and it is for whosoever will come.
