Devotions;
“Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” Psalms 40:6-8 KJV
"Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, "SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU HAVE NOT DESIRED, BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME; IN WHOLE BURNT OFFERINGS AND sacrifices FOR SIN Y OU HAVE TAKEN NO PLEASURE. "THEN I SAID, 'BEHOLD, I HAVE COME (IN THE SCROLL OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME ) TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.'"” Hebrews 10:5-7 NASB
"“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:” Hebrews 8:10 KJV
“Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.” John 4:34 NASB
Jesus was on earth to only do the will of the Father. We are on earth only to do the will of the Father. The only reason that we exist is to do the will of the Father. In doing the will of the Father we walk in the blessings of the Father. Our hearts yearn to do the will of the Father because in the new birth the Father gave us a heart that wants to follow Him and do His will. God wrote His law on our hearts and on our innermost being. If you are born again then the desire in your heart is to do God's will. If this is true and it is, then our fulfillment and joy is to do His will. The empowerment of His life in us is to do His will.
Our soul was programmed by the world, and our flesh and if we allow it we would still be programmed by our flesh, the world and the devil. As we walk in our own strength we then do the things that we do not want and do not do the things that we want. But when we spend time with our Father our soul is programmed by His love.
We then learn to walk by His love for us and through us to all around us. We are then conformed to His will in our souls and our soul and our spirits agree and we walk in His life.
God wants us to recognize who He has made us in Christ and walk accordingly. His poweris present in us to will and to do to his good pleasure.
