Live By Faith
Devotions:
“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."” Romans 1:17 NASB
We have been made righteous not by our own works but by the work of Jesus. To walk in that righteousness we must walk by faith in every area of our lives. We are to have faith in the righteousness that was imparted to us inspite of how we act. When we were made righteous our nature was changed and our desires were changed. (our fleshly desires remained the same but we were given the authority over our flesh.) We are walking in faith in His love for us and what He has accomplished for us and in us through that love. As we act on our right standing before the Father, righteousness, and boldly come into His presence and experience His love and forgiveness then we are are transformed in our souls to think like God and speak like God and act like God. God has opened the door for us to enter into His presence but if we do not seek His presence then He is very limited in how He can help us. Many times we have the thought and feeling that we must clean ourselves up before we can come to Him but if we seek Him in faith we will find Him and He will do what we cannot do, clean us up.
In all aspects of life we are to cease being self reliant and become totally God reliant. This does not mean that we do not do anything but we are always operating in ocnjunction with Him and His ability within us.
If no flesh will glory in His presence and all that we are to do is to His glory then all we are to do is through Him, by His power and by His enabling and guidance.
