Thoughts

Devotions:

        Many thoughts come into our head but it is up to us to determine whether they come from us or from another source.  The first thing is we have to own who we are.  When we received Jesus we were born again in righteousness and holiness.  That is who we are. So any unrighteous or unholy thought that comes into our thinking is not us. It might be the sin training that our flesh is still use to but it is not us. It also might be Satan or his demons whispering in our ears.  He usually whispers in the first person, I am a sinner, not in the second person, you are a sinner.  Even when we sin, we are not sinners because Jesus died and paid the full price for our sins to redeem us. 

        Our actions come from our beliefs.  What we believe comes from what we allow ourselves to think upon.  When we think on the truth then we will believe the truth. When we believe the truth then we act like who we are not who the lie of Satan says we are.  Too often we believe the lies of Satan and when his accusations come we just agree with him and are defeated.  The love of God has set us free and made us new creations not in name only but in reality.  When lust comes into your heart then do not accept it, say "that is not me, I am a. new creation. 

        It is essential to know who God has made you and act accordingly.  God has made us for victory.  Walk in that victory, your identity in God.

        “if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.”  ‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:21-24‬ ‭NASB‬‬
