God's Mercy

Devotions:

        “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭NASB‬‬

        What a place of trouble and woes we would be in as a human race, "But God," Everything seems to be going the wrong way, "But God!" When we try to run our own life our way we make a gargantuan mess of problems, "But God!" God is looking to intervene but He will not override our free will that He gave us.  He needs our invitation.  He needs our faith that He will do what He said He will do.  He cannot do it without us and He yearns to bless us with the full brunt of His blessings.

        He is rich in mercy.  He has not run short of mercy towards us no matter how often we mess us, if we will come to Him, His mercy is there for us.  His mercy reaches deeper than the deepest sin that we could commit.  His mercy is so great that it covers the blackest sin that we could do.  He is not looking for perfection in us.  He is looking for a heart that looks to Him for what we need and not our own resources and abilities.  He is our perfection as we rely upon Him.  The first reliance is when we look to Jesus as our Lord and Savior and are born again.  This is what His great love has done for us, made us alive unto Him. 

        His great love is not a one time act where we are born again but a constant flowing river to us because we are born of Him.  This is the river of His delights, to bless His people that He has purchased by His own blood. 

        My Father delights in me and delights to show it off to the world.

        “Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;”. ‭Psalms‬ ‭103:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        Are you wearing your crown today?  Are you walking in the love of God today? Are you walking in the mercies of God today? Start rejoicing in His magnificent love for you today!
