God Willing and Able

Devotions:
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”. Ephesians 3:20 KJV
We say that we believe that God is able to do what He has promised. Just the title of Almighty God implies that there is nothing impossible for Him to do. Paul's statement here that God is able is easily accepted by Christians. But they start to choke on the exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think. We usually limit God to doing just enough for us to get by and sometimes less than enough. But the word says that He is able to do greater than we can even think.
Once we get this digested then we come to the real problem, Yes God is able but is He willing. We may even say this with our mouth but our experience tells a different story. We think that He is not willing because we are not worthy. Satan flashes our sins and where we have missed it before our eyes and we shrink back into our doubt.
We must school ourselves in the absolute truthfulness of the word of God. God cannot lie. What He says is absolute truth and we must take a hard stand on His truthfulness.
God demonstrated His willingness when He sent Jesus to the cross to die for our sins. If He holds back anything that He has said then He is saying that He loves what He is holding back more than He loves Jesus.
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:31-32 KJV
Meditate on these scriptures until you know in your heart that He is able and He is able to act on your behalf.
