Believe the Finished Work of Christ.

Devotions:

        To rest in the finished work of Christ we must first know that God has made us both holy and rigtheous.  Our actions do not make us holy or righteous.  We cannot earn our place with God, it is a gift from Him because of the work of Jesus in our redemption.  We act holy and righteous because first we are and because be believe what God said He has said that He did for us.  He removed our unholy and unrighteous nature that we were born with and placed within us His holy and righteous nature. 

        “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”  ‭1 John‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        We have come to know and believe the righteousness that He has made us.  We have come to know and believe the holiness that He has made us.  When these statements are true in our lives then we will act holy and righteousness because we believe that we are righteous.  The more we believe His finished work the more we will manifest that finished work to the world. We are not trying to gain a posistion with God, we are not trying to garner His favor, we have it.  He gave us the posistion of favor as a gift when He gave us His righteousness.  We do not walk in it because we do not believe it. We choose to believe our circumstances and past performances. Our previous performances were based on our old man of sin and our still believing that that is who we are.  But we are an new creation, old things have passed away, behold all things are become new." 2Corinthians 5:17
