His Presence

“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.” ‭Psalms‬ ‭84:10‬ ‭NASB‬‬

David here speaks of the blessings of dwelling in the presence of the Lord.  The Lord is the fountainhead of all blessings in the universe.  All good comes from Him.  In the Old Testament David sought the presence of the Lord when He brought the ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem.  He knew from where all of His blessings flowed.

In the New Covenant we do seek and exterior ark or building that houses the presence of God.  The presence of God is in every born again believer.  First we are to know His presence in each one of us individually.  We are the temple of the living God. His presence came into us at the new birth.  As in the Old Covenant, His presence is the source of all our blessings.

Secondly then as we gather together, it is not the building that is holy but the presence of His people and His presence in each one of us.  His presence is more strongly manifested when we all get together in faith worshipping and giving praise to His holy name.

If all our blessings comes from His presence then if we believe that we would want to be where the greatest manifestation of His presence is.  Then in church meetings we want to long for and expect His presence to manifest as He chooses, but He will manifest as we come in faith in His love for us.

Cultivate your awareness of His presence in you and manifested through you.  Spend time daily worshipping Him and entering into His anointing, His manifested presence.  God to the assembly of the saints in expectation of His manifestation.  As Jesus walked the earth, He followed the leading of the Holy Spirit.  Anytime anyone would cry out to Him in faith, He would stop and give His attention to that person. He has not changed.  When we call upon Him in faith and expectation, He will stop and give His attention to us, but we cannot be half hearted about it. He wants our full faith filled attention.
