For His Glory

Devotions:
“But when Jesus heard this, He said, "This sickness is not to end in death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it."” John 11:4 NASB
On the cross Jesus paid for all our healing from all the evil that the enemy could throw at us. All our our sickness then should end in the glory of God. God is not glorified in our sickness but in our healing. We should then be determined to walk in the healing that God has provided for us through Jesus.
“This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: "HE HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND CARRIED AWAY OUR DISEASES."” Matthew 8:17 NASB
Our confidence in the provision that Jesus bought for us is determined in our estimation of His word and through His word, the righteousness which He has imparted to us. Jesus knew who He was when He walked the earth because the Holy Spirit revealed it to Him. We have been born of His Spirit and the same Holy Spirit is longing to reveal to us who we are in Christ. This is the real us. When we know who we are then we will act like Jesus acted, we will do the work that He did, heal the sick, restore sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, raise the dead and ourselves walk in divine health becasue we are the sons of the Most High God. Provision will be no problem because we will be so confident that our Father loves us and delights in meeting our needs when we ask. All of this is to His glory because He continuously proves to be our God, our loving Heavenly Father.
