Right Believing

Devotions:

        We have been made the holiness and righteousness of God.  God's desire is that we walk in that holiness and righteousness because unholiness and unrighteousness will destroy us. Our walk comes from what we believe about ourselves and God.  We have been brainwashed by the world and Satan to believe that our God does not love us and that we are unredeemable. But God does love us and treasures us and He has redeemed us and saved us.  The key factor in our behavior is what we believe.  Wrong believing produces wrong thinking, and wrong thinking produces wrong action. When we believe right we will think right and when we think right we will act right.  God wants us to think like He thinks so we will act and speak like He acts and speaks.  One of the keys is to come to know and believe the love that our Father has for us. 

        “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”  ‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:4-7‬ ‭NASB‬‬

        The more we focus on God's love for us rather than what we perceive as a duty to love Him, the greater our faith will grow and the more secure we will become in His love.  Also the more we will love Him.

        The second thing to focus our minds upon and become established in is because of His love for us He has wrought a great redemption for us.  He has made us His righteousness and His holiness. 

        “and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.”

        “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”  ‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭NASB‬‬

        As we meditate on these truths and confess them over ourselves constantly we will begin to counteract the brain washing of Satan and see our minds renewed by the Holy Spirit to who we in truth are.
