Righteousness Boldness

Devotions:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17 KJV
“Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him whi believeth in Jesus.” Romans 3:22-26 KJV
“The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.”
Proverbs 28:1 KJV
We were made righteous by the blood of Jesus. The more that we know that we are righteous the more we will be bold about the things of God. If we still see ourselves as sinners we will cower and hide with any challenge that comes our way whether it is financial or health or a challenge to our authority or a challenge to our morality. When we know that we are righteous we then know that the God of the universe is standing behind us to back us up as we hear and do His will. A part of being righteous is to know that we hear regularly from the Father and our hearts desire is to do His will. When we walk in righteousness even the foolish things that the Father asks us to do we will do, when we know it is God speaking to us.
Righteousness is a gift from God which we did not merit or earn. If we did not get it by our actions then we will not lose it by our actions. With the gift of righteousness came a change of heart. God took our cold stony heart and gave us a heart of flesh that wants to do His will.
All of this is by faith and we walk in it by faith, that is we do not always feel righteous nor act righteous. We believe what God has said that He has made us righteous.
Righteousness means that we can boldly come into His presence without any guilt, condemnation, or shame. As we choose to act on our righteousness daily by coming into His presence through our praise and thanksgiving, He renews us with His love. As a baby needs physical food and a demonstration of love to grow normally, so also we need spiritual food, His word which is a revelation of His love for us. The more you partake of His love for you the more you will grow and mature spiritually, the more you will be as bold as a lion.
