Shaking

Devotions:

“Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We believe that there will be a last great revival before Jesus returns.  Here in Hebrews Paul also says that there will be a last shaking of all things that can be shaken to cause all men to turn to the Lord and rely upon Him instead of the world system.  Some think that we should save up storehouses of food for ourselves but as we look to the Lord He will supernaturally supply all that we need.

“For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.”  ‭Haggai‬ ‭2:6-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The purpose for God shaking this world is to free us from all that is not profitable in our lives.  His desire is for a glorious church without spot or wrinkle.  This is who He made us in the new birth, we just need to come to that realization and stop walking by the lies of Satan and this world.  Here is Haggai God says that He owns all the silver and all the gold and He is a loving Heavenly Father that delights in the prosperiety of His servants.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.”  ‭Psalms‬ ‭35:27-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So whatever shaking is going on in your lives, look up to the King of Glory and expect and watch for His abundant supply.  He is your God. He is your Father.
