Devotions:

“"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:8-11‬ ‭NASB‬‬

God's ways and thoughts are far better than ours. Our thinking is small and limited.  God's ways are massive and we cannot even begin to approach His wisdom.  But many have thought that God's ways are unapproachable and unattainable. But here God shows us how we can receive and walk in God's ways.  He said that His word will accomplish what He sent it forth to do.

“but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM." For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.” ‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:9-10‬ ‭NASB‬‬

God's desire is for us to know His thoughts and ways inorder that we might walk in the ways of success and prosperiety.

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.”  ‭Joshua‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NASB‬‬

God reveals His ways and thoughts through prayer by His Spirit and through His word.  As we meditate on His word we change the way we think and we line up with the one who has never failed.  Success, true success comes from doing things God's ways and think God's thoughts.  God told Joshua to speak God's word, to think God's thoughts and to do God's deeds.  This is open for anyone who will apply himself or herself to the word.
