The Praise of Faith

Devotions:

“Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.” ‭Psalms‬ ‭50:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is the praise of faith.  Anyone can praise when they can see the answer but faith praises in the darkest night being fully confident that what God has said in His word, He will do.  The praise of faith is rejoicing in the face of adversity because they know that God is for them and will keep His covenant more than they can wish or dream.  God is not a "barely get along God" but a God of abundant overflow.  The darker the circumstances the louder our praises in expectation of the manifestation of the victory that is already ours.

He says here in Psalm 50 that if we do what He says He will get us out of the mess that we are in no matter what the reason that we are in the mess.  Whether it is our fault or just an attack of the devil. God delights in delivering His people.  In the natural we would call the situations near death or near tragedy but if we are standing on the word of God, the circumstances are not even close to disaster.

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭84:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When we look to God for our answers to the problems and situations in life, He abundantly provides.  When we look to somewhere else then God will allow us to see what we can get from another sourse, which is nothing but trouble.

What more reason do we need to be in continuous praise of our God for His abundance is ours as we look to Him. You may have done many worng things but as you look to God the blood of Jesus cleanses you every time.
