The Bosom of the Father

Devotions:

      All of our salvation is totally dependent on our posistion, we are in Christ! So where is Christ?

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”  John‬ ‭1:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬
        One of the places that we find Jesus is in the bosom of the Father.  He is right next to the Father's heart.  He has a very special place with the Father, that is He is highly treasured by the Father. 

        We are in Jesus so we are in the bosom of the Father.  He treasures us in all our weaknesses and sins.  He hates sin because it destroys us, the object of His love.  The bosom carries the idea of intimacy.  Jesus was intimate with the Father even when He walked this earth.  Our place with the Father is a place of transparency and intimacy.  God already knows all about us and He sent Jesus to die for us because we needed a savior.  God created us to be one with Him.  In the bosom also carries the idea of protection and provision.  All that we need is found there but we have to believe in God's goodness, kindness and mercy. 

        We are in the bosom of the Father along with Jesus.  Our Father wants to wrap His arms around you and tell you how much He loves you and then demonstrate that love by lavishing it on you.  When we look to anyother thing as a source we look away from God, the only true source of all that we need.  The Father totally supplied the Lord Jesus when He was on the earth and He will totally supply us, physically, financially, emotionally, socially.....
