Wonderfully Made

Devotions:

God has created each of us with out unique set of talents and giftings. He has created us each of us the size and shape that we are.  We need to then love ourselves as we are and rejoice at how God has made us. We need to recognize that God has a special assignment for us that only our giftings can fulfill.  When we look at others and desire their giftings or appearances then we are not appreciating what God has given us or how God has created us.  Our value in the world many times depends on what the world considers beautiful or talented.  But each one of us is special and unique.  God did not waste time and energy creating something of no value.  You have value and you have a unique assignment.

I have a teaching gift but if I compare it to others with teaching gifts I can become discouraged because I will not see my gift as valuable as the ones I am comparing. I need to recognize my gifting and seek to hone it and develop it as much as I can to fulfill "My" calling.

Each has a gifting and as you operate in that gifting you will fulfill what God has for you.  Usually your gifting is what you naturally like to do, encourage, show hospitality, serve, share, preach, teach... or whatever seems natural to you, God has already placed within you everything necessary for you to fulfill the ministry God has given you.

“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:13-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” ‭John‬ ‭15:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬
