“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”  ‭John‬ ‭3:36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“who has become such not on the basis of a law of physical requirement, but according to the power of an indestructible life.”  ‭Hebrews‬ ‭7:16‬ ‭NASB‬‬

“Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Here in Hebrews the author is speaking about Jesus.  Jesus had eternal life.  In John Jesus is talking about the believer will have eternal or indestructible life.  This was before the cross.  After the cross, we who have received that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day are given this endless, indestructable life at the new birth.  We have become the permanent dwelling place of God. This God kind of life, the eternal life, cannot be altered.  It is the life that raised Jesus from the dead overcoming all sin, sickness, disease, poverty, all the effects of the cruse.  So nothing that it overcame can alter it.  Our salvation is secure!  If we continue in sin we can be deceived by sin to the point that we renounce Jesus and His work for us after coming to a certain maturity and God cannot stop us.  That is we can make a willful and intentional decision to reject what God has done on our behalf, rejecting His love for us and turn away from God and His salvation. But by sinning we will not lose our salvation.

This life in us has given us a desire to want to follow God with all of our hearts. When we understand the life in us, the power of God we then become liberated from those sins because He has already set us free.  The more we focus on His life within us to live through us and not on our own efforts to live right the more we will walk upright before our Father.  When we believe it, His resurrection life in us will drive out all sickness and disease and will surround us with the blessing of Abraham so that we prosper in all that we do.  All of this and more becasue He, our God, has made a dwelling place in our hearts that we would rule and reign with Him.
