New Birth, New Covenant

“And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.”

    This is one of the prophecies about the new birth, by which we enter into the New Covenant.  These are truths for everyone who is born again.  God gave us one heart and a new spirit.  The one heart is a heart to do the will of the Father, It is also a heart that is one with everyone who is born again.  Our new spirit is a spirit of righteousness, a heart and a spirit that is open and sensitive to the leanings of the Lord by His Spirit, that is the heart of flesh. 

    God imparted to us eternal life, His life, that we would walk in His statutes and keep His ordinances and do them.  We would delight ourselves in the Lord our God because we live by His life within us.  Before we were born again we existed in vanity, now we live on God's level. Because God has made us one with Him we are truly His people and He is our God.  He watches over us to protect us and keep us in all our ways.  He has made provision for every need in our existence and He is not a just barely get along God but He is the God of more than enough, the God who overflows the cup. We have been born His children and made His sons (male and female) in authority. This is who you are. Choose to believe what the word says about you and act like it.
