The Life of Faith
Devotions :
“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17 KJV
We are to life a lifestyle of faith. Faith in what? In God's love for us as demonstrated by the death of Jesus on the cross for our sins. We can only have faith in what we know to be true. According to what we believe so shall we act. Our actions or lifestyle reveal what we believe. We are to walk and live by faith. If we are in a frightening situation, in faith we choose to not be moved by the fear but the fear still might linger. We act like we have no fear inspite of what we feel like because we believe that our God lives us and is for us and is with us and in fact dwells within us. So when a frightening situation grabs us we actively look to Him and He never fails us. The lifestyle of faith is always looking to Him in every situation, good and bad. Lifestyle faith is always confident in the Father's good will for us, who only gives us good gifts. Living by faith in a supernatural God will produce a supernatural lifestyle.
Even though tempted to sin, we choose not to sin because we are no longer sinners but new creations, recreated in righteousness and holiness.
Because we have negative information coming into us all the time from the world and our own minds we must stay fresh in the word of God daily concerning His great redemption for us and the fullness of our salvation.
“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16 KJV
