“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”  ‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Many are seeking for acceptance, from friends, from parents, from family.  They will do anything just to be accepted. Here Paul says that we are accepted unto God.  Why? Because we are in the beloved, Jesus. As Jesus was accepted by the Father after His death, burial and resurrection, so are we because we are in Christ. We died with Him, were buried with Him, rose with Him and ascended with Him seated at the right hand of the Father with Him.  We must walk in this by faith.

In Luke 1:28 Mayr si visited by the angel Gabriel and he calls her highly favored.  The word for highly favored is the same word for accepted here in Ephesians1. So we could say that in Jesus, which is where we are if we are born again, we are accepted and highly favored by God.  Do you see yourself as highly favored by God and accepted.

One problem is that we look at ourselves in the natural and we do not see what he is talking about and so we do not believe what God has said.  God did not base our unconditional acceptance on our behavior or deeds but on what Jesus did and that we are in Him.  What is His is ours also.

As you meditate on this and confess it until you see yourself as totally accepted by God and highly favored by Him based on Jesus' obedience then you will walk in it.

It is by grace that we are saved through faith.  If our faith is not a response to what God has done then it is not faith.
