Devotions :

Is church important or is it just a religious obligation?

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Here in Hebrews we are admonished to not forsake our gatherings. We are admonished to do this for our own protection and because we can never come to maturity on our own.  We need to hear the anointed teaching that the Lord provides through the ministry gifts and we need to relate to one another.  We are to walk in love towards one another and not just those who we are compatible with but with those who disagree with us and who would use us for their own gain. those who would despitefully use us and curse us we are to bless by the power of the greater one in us. We are to do the impossible by the power of God that God would receive all the glory..

We are the body of Christ. We are the lively stones being built up unto a dwelling place for the Lord. We are not dead stones that is when we come to church we are to be built up in the Lord and have a psalm, a hymn, a teaching, a revelation, a spiritual song. We must build up ourselves daily so that when we get together we become that dynamic force for the Lord, a dwelling place of His presence, a habitation of His anointing which destroys the yolk and lifts the burdens that Satan would destroy us with.  Yes church is important and with a purpose. there is no excuse good enough to miss.
