Devotions:

        “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        Our salvation is all about who we are in Christ.  When we received Jesus we were transformed into His image and likeness.  We are then are to walk like who we are by the power of His life within us, not like who we were.  We need then to spend time being rooted and built up in Him.  That is we need to spend time in the word of God discovering who we are and meditating on that until it is deeply rooted within us who we are in Chirst.  We then are to act in faith on who we are.  Many times we will not feel like who we are or act perfectly like who we are but we keep confessing and acting like who we are and renew our minds that is keep going over the scriptures that tell us who we are even when it seems impossible to happen.  Lastly Paul says to abound in thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving is the expression of fauith that you have what you have said even before you see in reality in your life.

        What we do comes out of who we are not who we are comes out of what we do.
