Praise Strength
Devotions:
“Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.” Psalms 8:2 KJV
“And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?” Matthew 21:16 KJV
We see that in our praise our strength is perfected. When we offer the sacrifice of praise, praising in the face of our enemies because we know that God is for is and is moving on our behalf. We still our enemy and avenger through our demonstrating that we believe God by praising Him in the face of contiridictory circumstances. It is not easy to do and many times we must do it with out any feelings and only in faith because we choose to believe God's word and that God will keep His word for us. As we offer up the sacrifice of praise we should praise until we break through into joy of believing that God really is moving radically on our behalf and taking us into the victory that He has gotten for us. Our temptation is to gripe and complain when we are hit with negative circumstances. We must train ourselves to instead to turn our face to God in praise and thanksgiving being fully persuaded that what God has promised He is well able to perform.
