God's Mystery

        “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.”

        Paul's gospel is the preaching of Jesus Christ which is the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began.  In Colossians Paul says that secret is. "Christ in you the hope of glory." So God planned this mystery from the beginning. This mystery when it is known will establish us through the power of God.  When we know that we are born of Him and are just like Him not by out own works but by His work alone then we will be established unto God. We then will not be falling into sin  and unrighteousness because we will know that we are the righteousness of God in Christ.  Knowing who we are causes us to walk in obedience through faith.  The just, righteous, shall live by faith.  Faith in what? Faith in the finished work of God, we go from faith to faith, from glory to glory.  The more we focus on the reality of Christ in us and as He is wo are we in this world the more we walk free from those things that would destroy us.  This is the gospel that we have to preach to the world, not their work but His work on their behalf and when they accept that work, His work in them.  God has commanded this in His wisdom and He will execute it.  When you know how much God loves you then nothing else matters.
