Walking With God

Devotions:

“And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:8-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The indication here is that God habitually walked with Adam in the garden every morning.  God's desire is to walk with us and have fellowship with us.  God is wiser than we are and wants to share His wisdom with us.  In the New Covenant God has made us righteous so we can walk with Him and see His glory.  The enemy's plan is to keep our eyes glued to the natural surroundings and thus off of God.  Satan did this in the garden when he had Eve focus on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and called into question God's love for them.  Satan's tactics are the same today. He has us focus on the natural realm and calls into question God's love for us.  If we are questioning God's love we are not walking with Him but instead we are walking in fear.  God is calling us now, "Where are you?" He wants to fellowship with but we must believe Him and accept Him as God.  When we do not accept Him as God we set ourselves up as god and Satan is our lord.  Accepting God as God means taking His word over every other word and voice.
