Living Out God’s Dream For Us

Devotions:

          “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬

         Our carnal mind and our flesh want to act contrary to God and the will of God. Our flesh has not experienced redemption yet. We have an earnest on the full inheritance so we can walk in divine health but we are looking forward to the day when our bodies will be made like Jesus’ body. Until that day, at the return of Jesus, we must keep our body in subjection to our born again spirit.

        “but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

          We must do something with our bodies. We must know that we have been crucified with Christ, Galatians 2:20. Sin no longer has power over us but we must enforce this reality standing on the word of God and by the power of the Spirit. The more sure we are of our identity in Christ and of our immutable relationship with our Father, the freer we will walk in this life. Our actions come out of our belief. We act a certain way because of what we believe about ourselves. Trying to change our actions without changing our beliefs will prove to be futile. But ~ if we get into the word of God, the word will illuminate to our minds and our spirit. We will then know who we really are in Christ. Then we will begin to live out the God life in us.
