Singleness Of Vision

Devotions:

        “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” ‭Matthew‬ ‭6:22-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We need to be single in our focus. We cannot be going two different ways at the same time. Our focus must be totally on God and His kingdom. If we try to mix the kingdom of God with the ways of the world we will be very confused. We can only serve one kingdom. Money is a tool and not a god. We are to serve God and use not serve money and use God. Everything that we see in this world is subject to change and temporary. If we focus on accumulating wealth then we are working for something that will burn up in the end. We cannot take money with us. Money serves a purpose as a tool to advance the kingdom of God. If our focus is on something else beside the kingdom of God then we will not be totally committed to God or His kingdom. We are here to do the will of God on the earth. Everything else is secondary and should fit into the primary reason, to do the will of God.
