God With Us

Devotions:

         “So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him.”

‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭11:9‬ ‭KJV

          David had a heart after God. David was vested into God’s plan so God was with David. If we are working for our own plan God cannot bless it unless it overlaps with His plan. God blesses us as much as He can, as we follow His plan. He is the wisdom of the universe. No one individual or corporately can compare with Him or His wisdom. God was with David and he won every battle that he fought against the enemies of Israel. Where as King Saul was miserable and eventually lost his life because he had left God.

Throughout the Old Testament people prospered because God was with them. God was with Joseph even when he was sold into slavery in Egypt. Joseph became the ruler in Potifer‘s house until Joseph was falsely accused by Potifer’s wife. Then thrown into prison, Joseph became the head of the prison. And finally second in command of. The whole nation of Egypt.

When Israel followed God they prospered. When they forsook God they suffered and went into bondage. When we walk with God we will prosper. When we try to go our own way we will fail miserably.
