Living To Do The Will Of God

Devotions:

Are you living for God or you living for yourself? Even as a Christian you can still live for yourself. The deeper encounter you have with the love of God, the easier it is to be totally sold out to God. Jesus said that He came only to do the will of the Father. This should be our drive, to do the will of the Father. That is to first hear from the Father through the leading of the Holy Spirit, then to act in obedience to what He has told you. Many times the Holy Spirit will lead us with just a nudge which we can easily miss and pass over. But His leading is persistent and full of peace and positive feelings. Ours is not to make things happen but to be obedient.

As we make the will of God God our total focus, God will meet our needs even before we ask Him. He will meet our needs better than we can. Matthew 6:24=34 tells us that God will cloth us better than Solomon or the flowers of the field. He will feed us better than the birds of the air that do not sow or reap or gather into barns.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” ‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God will take care of you better than we could ever imagine we taking care or ourselves. This is all based on our knowledge of how much God really loves us. This is testified in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus to remove all our sins from us and give us new life.

“For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
