Victory Over The Devil

August 18, 2022

Devotions:

Satan is a defeated for. Jesus is the Victor. Because I have Jesus, the Victorious One, living in me, then I have the victory. He is my victory.

“who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” ‭Colossians‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Satan cannot touch us unless we allow Him. No curse can touch us or our families unless we allow him. Jesus already defeated him for us. When we do not know this, we see ourselves as victims instead of more than conquerors. When we misinterpret our place in the Lord and try to fight the devil, we will lose. We are not believing the word of God but we are trying to fight the enemy in our own strength.

We must fight the enemy in faith in what God has done. We believe and speak the enemy has been defeated.

“and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” ‭Colossians‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The “he” here is talking about Jesus.

“and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:19-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have the victory and we must be aggressive in administering our victory in Christ. We are not moved by what we see but by the word of God. Is we do not see immediate results we still stand on the word of God.
