As He Is

Devotions:

          We are the offspring of God. We were born of Him by the new birth. A law ofGenesis is that like begets like, everything reproduces after i’s own kind?  So we were born again  in the image just like our Father God. We are not God but we are to operate in the same way that God operates only we are to operate under His authority. When we operate under God’s authority, we have all of God’s power backing us.  We must also know that Satan and all of his associates were defeated by Jesus on the cross. Jesus destroyed Satan ‘s authority when Jesus became our sin and paid the full price once and for all time. Then in the new birth He removed our nature of sin and gave us a nature like His. He killed our old nature on the cross when He died. Jesus gave us His new resurrection nature. The nature that overcame all of the curse, His nature of righteousness.

         So Satan is defeated and we have God’s authority to undo all the damage done to us by Satan’s workers. Our authority extends only to what concerns us personally. God also gave us His Spirit to administer the new life and authority that He has given us
