Our Mandate From God

Devotions:

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they believe not on me; of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” ‭‭John‬ ‭16:7-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We all have an assignment from God, to win the lost and make disciples of all nations. We will become frustrated in our assignment unless we recognize the work of the Holy Spirit, working with us to fulfill that assignment. We must train ourselves to hear from the Holy Spirit to be able to cooperate with Him. He has a deep, compassionate love for the human race. Our focus is not to live a comfortable life but to fulfill the assignment. When we make God’s focus our focus, then He will make our needs His focus. His provision is always available for us but when we focus on ourselves it is more difficult to hear from Him. First we must spend time with the Holy Spirit daily. Second we must take time in His word. The word of God is a revelation of Jesus and all that Jesus means to us. All that Jesus is, so are we in this world. The revelation of Jesus and the love of the Father for Him is the revelation of who we are by the new birth, even when we do not feel like it. It is a revelation of the Father’s love for us and for the whole world, especially His humans.

Heaven is a place of eternal blessings. On the earth it is full of trials and troubles. The only reason that we are here is to rescue those who have no hope.
