Devotions:

“In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.”  ‭Psalms‬ ‭76:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The word here for Judah translated means, lifting your hands in abandon praise of God.  As we get radical with our praise especially in the face of a bad situation, we are expressing faith in God and in His goodness.  We are not trying to earn something from God or merit it but we are focusing on God and His abundant salvation for our need.  In radical, abandon hand raising praise God is known to move on behalf of the praisers.

This is what King Jehoshaphat did in 2 Chronicles 20.  When faced with overwhelming odds in the  armies arrayed against him, he first sought God and God told them that the battle belongs to God.  All our battles belong to God if we will seek Him instead of trying to solve our problems ourselves.  In faith then Jehoshaphat put worshippers in the front of the battle line and God sent ambushments against the enemy.  All that  Jehoshaphat and Judah had to do was to collect the spoil.god inhabits the praises of His people to give them the victory over lifes problems.  Our praises need to be strong and loud.  The greater the problem, the stronger and louder the praises to fight the doubt and unbelief that satan tries to put into our head to defeat us.  This comes in the form of symptoms or circumstances and thoughts.  The enemy is defeated so sand your ground and shout the victory in victorious praise.

Do not give up or grow tired or weary.  This is where the body of Christ comes in because we are to encourage each other in the day of battle.  We are to join our brothers and sisters as they wage war against the enemy with the praise of their faith.  As we stand and praise united for what God has done we will not be defeated.

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”  ‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
