The Love of God

Devotions:

        “How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.”  ‭Psalms‬ ‭36:7-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

        “Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?”  ‭Romans‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

        It is the goodness of the Lord that causes men and women to turn to Him and to walk with Him. We are to walk in that goodness throughout our days.  It is when we stop believing in His goodness towards me that we fall into trouble.  Satan, the enemy will whip up circumstances to try make it look like God has forsaken us but He never will forsake us.  In the times of adversity and trials that we should draw closer to the Lord and drink of the rivers of His pleasures.  Our fulfillment comes from the fullness of His house.  His desire is that we be totally satisfied in Him.  God gets the most pleasure when we are the most satisfied in Him.  When we seek cheap substitutes of the world we grieve Him because the cheap things of the world leave us totally dissatisfied. Only God can satiisfy our souls.  He is not stingy. He offers us the fullness of His house, and His abundance is unsearchable. 

        We are not only to walk in the abundance of our Father but we are to offer it to the world.  His free gift is available to all who will come and partake.  The proud will not come and partake because they think that they are complete in themselves.  It is the humble that seek out the fullness of the Lord and partake of His delights.  This is all because God loves you with an everlasting love. Partake of His love today and expect His blessings to rest upon you today.
