Drawn By Love

“The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”  ‭Jeremiah‬ ‭31:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God spoke this through the prophet Jeremiah.  God never changes and we are in a better covenant based on better promises.  God is speaking this to us today and not only we who are in covenant relationship with Him but to all of His creation.  We humans are created in the image of God and He loves His creation.  He woos us by His Holy Spirit and draws us unto Him if we will accept His love.  He has called us to be His instrument of love to a hurting and dying world.  His call is to the whole world to come unto Him and be saved.  Jesus came to separate us from our sins, that which destroys us that we might live in the presence of His loving kindness throughout eternity.

“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”

‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5:14-15, 18-20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God's first word from the passage in Jeremiah is to us.  He is calling us to come and experience His everlasting love, to hearken to His lovingkindness, to sink deep into His love for us and allow it to wash away all guilt, shame, brokenness, all fear and doubt.  The bread of life that sustains and heals us is the manifestation of His love and His name is Jesus.

Secondly when we partake of the depth of His love we cannot help but give it out.  If we act out of selfishness it is because our love tank is empty. Boldly come into His presence and partake of His grace that you might have His love to give out.
