Faith in Action

Devotions:
We say that we believe but just saying it is not enough. We must demonstrate what we believe. Anyone can say that they will do something because it sounds good but it is only those who act on what they say and fulfill their word who are people of integrity. This is faith that acts on what one says that they believe because they know that God has acted on what He has said.
“What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him?
You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected;”
James
, 22 NASB
But acting is not enough. You must believe God's promises and act on them and they will be fulfilled in your life.
“And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” Romans 4:19-21 NKJV
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 NKJV
Salvation includes our whole deliverance from the curse that was brought on us by the sin of Adam. So the way to receive by faith is by believing that what God has said and then speak what He has said and act on it as if it were true.
Are we convinced that what God has said is true. Are we at peace with His word, that is there is no worry or doubt that it will come to pass even is it does not come to pass it will cost us our life. We must be willing to stand on the word of God even it it looks like we will fail miserably if we keep standing. ( when doing this I also ask for wisdom because I may be in error and as I humble myself and ask, God will guide me. He wants us to succeed not fail.)
