FamilyFriendly
Hello, and Welcome to FamilyFriendly Blog! I'm calling this "FamilyFriendly" because I want you to picture your family being a friendly place for each member. All of us have challenges when we get married and also when we become parents, but the family can be a FRIENDLY place for all to grow and mature, parents included!
Let's just say that today is your first FamilyFriendly Day, a day that you start making changes that will make your family friendly towards growth, towards each other, and towards making your future as a family something you look forward to. No more dreading to go out in public with your children because of their bad behavior. No more wishing you had chosen a better spouse. No more thinking that your home life is as good as it will get and it ain't too good... No more. It's time to start thinking FamilyFriendly-different. One step at a time will bring results, and God will help you!
Pastor John Osteen used to talk about how one day he decided that his family would no longer be the poor family that people took hampers of food to at Thanksgiving or Christmas. He boldly declared, "From now on, my family will not be steeped in poverty. I break the curse of poverty off my family". I believe that what Pastor Osteen did about breaking poverty off his family, we can do also, and in other areas besides! We need to do some thinking, some praying, and some planning for any area we want to change. That includes looking at the results we have now and asking God's help to change in order to get the results we want in our family.
So, without further ado, start the little grey cells (your brain) to thinking about how your family was when you were growing up, what your situation is right now, and what you would like to change. Let's commit this to God together,
"Father God in Heaven, we come to You today to ask for guidance in family matters. I ask You to minister, reveal, heal, and instruct by the Holy Spirit what You have for each one reading this. Thank You Father, for being a Good God Who Is Love, and Who Loves ME. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen"
God Bless your journey as a family,
Pamela
